Flores overland tour 9 days 8 nights start from ende

Upon arrival at H. Hasan Aroeboesman Airport in Ende, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon, explore some of Ende's historical landmarks, including Bung Karno's Exile House and the Pancasila Reflection Park, where Indonesia's founding philosophy was conceived. Later, enjoy a relaxing walk along the waterfront and coastline while taking in the beautiful sunset over Ende Bay.

Overnight: Ende

Early in the morning, depart for Kelimutu National Park to witness a spectacular sunrise over the famous Kelimutu Crater Lakes.

From the main viewpoint, admire the three volcanic crater lakes—Tiwu Ata Mbupu, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai, and Tiwu Ata Polo—renowned for their changing colors caused by natural volcanic and mineral processes. Enjoy a short walk around the crater rim and take in the breathtaking mountain scenery.

Afterwards, continue to the peaceful village of Moni, passing through fertile countryside dotted with coffee and cocoa plantations. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the cool atmosphere of this charming rural village.

After breakfast, travel westward along the scenic Trans Flores Highway toward Bajawa.

Along the way, stop at Blue Stone Beach (Penggajawa), famous for its unique shoreline covered with naturally colored blue, turquoise, and green stones. Continue through the Nagekeo region, passing traditional villages and picturesque landscapes that showcase the daily life of local communities.

Arrive in Bajawa in the late afternoon. Situated at the foot of Mount Inerie, Bajawa offers cool mountain air and spectacular views of one of Flores' most iconic volcanoes.

Today is dedicated to discovering the rich cultural heritage of the Ngada people.

Visit Bena Traditional Village, one of Indonesia's most remarkable traditional settlements. The village features rows of ancestral houses facing a central courtyard filled with megalithic structures used for traditional ceremonies. The dramatic backdrop of Mount Inerie creates one of the most iconic landscapes in Flores.

Continue to Gurusina Traditional Village, where visitors can experience a quieter and more authentic atmosphere. Later, relax at Malanage Hot Springs, a natural hot spring flowing into a riverside setting surrounded by lush tropical scenery.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Overnight: Bajawa

After breakfast, continue your journey through the mountainous interior of Flores toward Ruteng.

En route, stop at Ranamese Lake, a beautiful volcanic lake nestled within a protected mountain forest. The cool climate and peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place to enjoy Flores' natural beauty.

The drive continues through rolling hills, valleys, and rural landscapes before arriving in Ruteng, the cultural center of the Manggarai region.

This morning, travel to Lingko Spider Web Rice Fields near Cancar Village.

From the viewpoint, enjoy panoramic views of the unique rice field system arranged in a circular spider-web pattern. This traditional land distribution method is unique to the Manggarai people and has become one of Flores' most distinctive cultural landscapes.

Continue to Liang Bua Cave, the archaeological site where the remains of Homo floresiensis, commonly known as the "Hobbit," were discovered. Explore the cave and learn about one of the most significant anthropological discoveries in modern history.

Return to Ruteng in the afternoon.

Overnight: Ruteng

After breakfast, drive to Denge Village, the starting point for the trek to Wae Rebo.

The trek takes approximately 2–3 hours through pristine mountain forests with stunning views along the way. Upon arrival, participate in a traditional welcome ceremony conducted by the local community.

Located at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level, Wae Rebo is a remote traditional village renowned for its distinctive cone-shaped houses known as Mbaru Niang. Surrounded by misty mountains, the village offers a rare opportunity to experience the authentic culture and hospitality of the Manggarai people.

Enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere of Wae Rebo before trekking back down to Denge Village.

After lunch, continue the journey to Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy the vibrant harbor town and its stunning coastal scenery.

In the late afternoon, visit Sylvia Hill or the marina area to enjoy a spectacular sunset overlooking the islands and turquoise waters surrounding Labuan Bajo.

Today embark on a full-day speedboat adventure through the world-famous Komodo National Park.

Begin with a hike on Padar Island, where a short trek rewards visitors with one of Indonesia's most iconic viewpoints overlooking three crescent-shaped bays.

Continue to Pink Beach, one of the world's rare pink-sand beaches, where you can relax, swim, and snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and tropical marine life.

Next, visit Komodo Island or Rinca Island to observe the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat under the supervision of park rangers.

The journey continues to Manta Point, a renowned snorkeling site where manta rays are frequently seen gliding through crystal-clear waters. Before returning, stop at Taka Makassar, a beautiful white sandbank surrounded by turquoise sea.
